In order to conduct Marriage Ceremonies (and become a Civil Marriage Celebrant), civil celebrants are
required by the Attorney General's department to study the Marriage Celebrants Program (CHCMCEL401A).
Following completion of the course civil celebrants then apply to the Attorney General's Department for
appointment as a Civil Marriage Celebrant (following the meeting of further requirements).
I have completed my studies through the Academy of Celebrancy Australia. I am now waiting for the
Attorney General's Department to officially appoint me as a Civil Marriage Celebrant, which should happen in September 2008 as there are limitations on the number of celebrants appointed each year - and
long waiting lists!
I will then be able to conduct Marriage ceremonies in addition to the other ceremonies I currently conduct.
While I am waiting to be formally appointed I am able to offer couples services such as:
- Wedding Unity Candles
- Wedding reception place card and guest gift Bonbonnieries
- Writing of a personalised wedding ceremony
Wedding Unity Candles are a memorable and symbolic way of involving the Bride
and Groom's family - to signify their uniting as one, and are also a personal keepsake of your special day
(click on the See more link at right to go to my online catalogue to view the full range of these beautiful
items).
The wedding unit set consists of one large candle (20cm high x 8cm wide) with the Bride and Groom's
names/photo and details and a verse on the back if you choose, two medium candles (15cm high x 7.2cm wide) with
one for each of the Bride and Groom's family, and two matching taper candles with the Bride's first name on one
and the Groom's first name on the other.
Wedding Reception Place Card and Guest Gift Bonbonnierrie's are an effective and practical way to save money
while creating a keepsake for your guests. One side has the guests name for table seating purposes, and a
personal message thanking them for joining the couple on their wedding day. The other side has a photo of the
couple, the wedding date and venue details (or similar). The combining of the two items (gift and place card)
saves money on guest gifts and place cards!
While I am waiting for the Attorney General's Department to officially appoint me as a Civil Marriage
Celebrant I am assisting couples interested in personalised ceremonies by writing their ceremony. This costs
$200 and is a way of adding my special touches to your day and ensuring your ceremony is personalised - exactly
what you want.
Accent on Names - creating beautiful memories, capturing a special moment in time.
