 Accent on Names by Penelope was established in 2006 after the birth of my first
child. Becoming a new mother gave me the perspective in life I was lacking.
Despite a
successful corporate career I decided it was time to find more balance in my life. I
wanted to be a stay at home mum, while still utilising my skills/studies and contributing to our family. I
also wanted a way to meet more families and help them celebrate their children.
Accent On Names' initial focus was on Naming Ceremonies. It has since expanded to include wedding ceremonies.
It all began with creating special memories for my children. As a mother of two young boys I understand the love, commitment and expectations parents have for their children. The joy they bring me every day was something I wanted to share with other people. I started with my son's and expanded from there by creating unique, personalised
ceremonies for other families and couples.
While Accent On Names has grown to included wedding ceremonies, Naming ceremonies still remain my greatest passion.

I have extensive experience in event organising, writing and public speaking. I also have a Diploma in
Public Relations (including Events Management).I have also completed the Marriage Celebrants Program (CHCMCEL401A) through the Academy of
Celebrancy Australia, and been appointed as a Civil Marriage Celebrant by the Attorney General's Department.
Accent on Names is about creating beautiful memories, capturing a special moment in time. I am committed to
ensuring those memories will last families a lifetime.
